Labor Doula Services

“We have a secret in our culture, and it’s not that birth is painful. It’s that women are strong.”
— Laura Stavoe Harm

The pregnancy and labor journey is one that is transformative. Having continuous support along the way has been shown to decrease risks of interventions and increase satisfaction with the overall birth experience. I often incorporate my knowledge of pre- and perinatal psychology into my doula work. Womb and birth imprinting have a profound effect on who we are and is something I love to educate couples on. This topic can be explored in our prenatal visits together.

I offer two Doula packages

LABOR Doula Package includes:

  • Three prenatal visits

  • One additional visit closer to your guess date. This visit is just for fun! We can go on a beach stroll, relax with a guided visualization, or organize/prepare your home for the postpartum period.

  • Recommendations on movements that are helpful during pregnancy, labor and postpartum.

  • Help with your Birth Preferences and answer any questions regarding putting one in place

  • Help with the creation of your postpartum plan including breath work, healing movements that can help with diastasis and pelvic floor dysfunction and meal planning.

  • 24/7 email and phone support

  • Attendance at labor/birth starting as soon as you desire and continuing up to 2 hours after baby is born

  • One Postpartum meeting 5-7 days after the birth.

labor Doula and Postpartum Recovery Package includes:

“ Kiersten was by my side through all of it making sure I had enough to eat and drink, that I was as comfortable as possible, and sometimes just holding my hand. By the end of it, I felt like she was a third parent.  I definitely couldn't have done it without her.  She was right there when my husband or I needed her, but would also step back and let my husband be my primary support person when I only wanted him." - Sarah
